Insulform Heat Shrink Tubing, 12 to 8 AWG, Black, 3/8" Diameter, 2' Length, 3/8" ID Before and 1/8" ID After Shrinkage (Pack of 5)
3:1 shrink ratio
Seals and helps protect electrical connections against failure due to water, moisture, corrosion, vibration, strain and abrasion
The inner wall melts and adheres to the wire or cable insulation, encapsulating the connection; the outer wall shrinks, providing strength with flexibility and abrasion resistance
Unaffected by most oils, fuels, solvents, chemicals and road salts
High dielectric strength: 5,100 21,300V/mil minimum, depending on tubing diameter and amount of shrinkage
Flame-resistant meets CSA (OFT) and UL flammability ratings
Easy to apply, low shrink temperature: 230°F (110°C)
High tensile strength: 1,500 PSI minimum
Wide continuous temperature range: 67°F to +230°F (55°C to +110°C)
Rated at 600V, 125°C Meets MIL Specification 123053/4, Class 3
Applications
Communications wire/antenna cable
Instrumentation/electronics
Vehicular electrical splices
Biomedical instruments
Solder and crimp joints
Wire/cable strain relief
Power cable splices
Harness jackets
Insulate splices
Insulate tools
Buss bars
Burial capable
Wire gauge coverage is approximate due to the wide variance of wire thicknesses.
