Regency® - Cobalt End Mill, 4 Flute, Single End, Coarse Rougher, TiN Finish, 1/4" Diameter, 5/8" Cutting Length, 2-7/16" Overall Length (Pack of 1)
M42 tool steel with an 8% cobalt content for long tool life and high heat and abrasion resistance for tough machining applications
Made in USA
TiN coating (Titanium Nitride) is ideal for a wide range of applications and cutting conditions where tool life and higher feeds and speeds are operating objectives
High lubricity of TiN facilitates chip flow, prevents buildup and reduces cutting forces and temperature
TiN reduces wear and improves chip formation to extend tool life
Due to the sinusoidal form on cutting edge, small chips are produced which allow faster feed rates than conventional end mills. A rough finish is produced which will require a finishing pass
Used in difficult and abrasive materials and tough alloy materials such as stainless steel, nickel base alloy, brass and iron
End Mill Selection: Harder workpieces require a higher number of flutes. Softer material requires fewer flutes.
CAUTION: Any cutting tool may break or shatter under improper use. Government regulations require use of safety glasses and other appropriate safety equipment at all times in the vicinity of use.
